The new Salvatori flagship in Via Solferino 11, met with great success on the first day of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Designed by Piero Lissoni, it attracted a huge number of visitors, who were struck by the stunning collections on show and by the beauty of the exhibition space. In quintessential Lissoni style, the simple, neutral display forms a silent backdrop for the Tuscany-based company’s materials, showing off their unique characteristics to the very best advantage.
The warm, intimate entrance is given great elegance by a typical acid-green Milanese-style staircase that leads up to the first floor, where the visitor is greeted by a series of rooms with bare brick walls and anthracite-grey ceilings. Salvatori natural stone and marble panels adorn the walls like works of art, capturing the eye and offering a sweeping overview of the Tuscan company’s catalogue. Living Divani’s plaster-white Extrawall composition stands at the centre of the main room.
