DEDICATED SALVATORI SHOWROOM OPENS IN SYDNEY
In May 2016 the doors to the first Salvatori dedicated showroom in the Southern Hemisphere opened in Sydney’s Darlinghurst, a cosmopolitan and culturally rich destination which is home to a creative network of designers, architects and artists.
Originally introduced to Australia in 2013 by designer, Edwina Withers and boutique developer, Andrew Towzell as part of Boffi Studio Sydney, the interest in the brand has gained such momentum that the time was judged to be perfect for a stand-alone showroom.
CEO Gabriele Salvatori was in Sydney to celebrate the opening and meet local architects and designers, saying “We are proud to partner with Edwina and launch our fourth dedicated Salvatori showroom which now joins Milan, Zurich and London. Australia is a place where creativity, design and innovation is appreciated and so we anticipate a great meeting of minds”.
Positioned above the Boffi Studio on the first floor of the City East Telephone Exchange, an inter-war striped classical style building erected in 1926, the juxtaposition of the classic exterior and industrial interior create a theatrical backdrop for the Salvatori range. The space showcases over eight different textures and materials including a world-first, the award-winning sustainable product, Lithoverde®.
“Boffi and Salvatori are, indeed, global partners – a true marriage of aesthetics and philosophy. Both are passionate about absolute quality and longevity paired with innovative, contemporary design thinking,” says Edwina of the collaboration.
