130 William, Manhattan
In Salvatori, we found a partner who appreciates the true importance of design and high-quality craftsmanship
New York’s constantly evolving skyline is set for another addition, with the construction of 130 William, a 66-storey residential tower in the Financial District, and we are delighted to be involved in the project. Designed by renowned architect Sir David Adjaye and led by Lightstone, one of the largest privately held real estate companies in the United States, it will comprise 244 units and over 1800 square metres of amenities. At 244 metres it is destined to become a distinctive featire of the iconic Manhattan skyline when it opens in 2020.
In the words of Sir David “The façade details are very much inspired by the stone and masonry craftsmanship of the historic buildings in the neighbourhood. I wanted to see if there was a way to retain this sense of craft and ornament on a contemporary scale”.
The theme of stone and craftsmanship continues seamlessly inside the light-filled interiors, where Salvatori carved stone basins and textures in marble, Lava and limestone were chosen to add elements of contemporary luxury.
“When we thought about the design for 130 William, it was important for us to source materials from the best artisans from around the world in order to enhance and solidify the sense of craft that is present throughout our residences. In Salvatori, we found a partner who appreciates the true importance of design and high-quality craftsmanship. With unique design elements like the textured Bianco Carrara marble in our master bathrooms and Grigio Versilia marble with a “Bamboo” finish in our powder rooms, Salvatori provides the luxurious interior details that make 130 William special.” (Scott J.Avram, Senior Vice President at Lightstone)
