Salvatori brings light, colour and innovation to Milan Design Week 2024

The atmosphere was electric, the energy levels were contagious. On Sunday, the 62nd edition of Milan Design Week may have come to an end, but its legacy for the design world is destined to leave an indelible trace.

Our theme for the week was “Light & Colour” and we were delighted to witness how it captured the imagination of visitors from all over the world who flocked to our new-look showroom to enjoy an immersive design experience.

The buzz that we created during this year’s edition was extremely gratifying, and testimony to the incredible work and energy of the entire Salvatori team and our partners who put their hearts and souls into making sure every detail was absolutely perfect.

A big thank you to everyone involved

Milan Design Week 2024 was an unforgettable experience, and it couldn’t have happened without the incredible contribution of a host of people.

We would particularly like to acknowledge the many partners, designers, architects, tradespeople and suppliers who often went above and beyond to make it all happen.

Of course, it is the public who make any event and we want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who took time out of their very busy schedules to drop into our showroom at via Solferino 11.

The week started in convivial fashion, with 400 guests attending our private party on the night before Milan Design Week officially began. For the remaining six days, a daily average of 3000 visitors experienced the world of Salvatori design and we were delighted by their reactions to what they found.

As always, it was a pleasure to meet up with old friends and make new ones, to exchange opinions and ideas, and simply to soak up that wonderful energy and atmosphere that Design Week never fails to generate.

Our new collections

This year’s Salone del Mobile, to give Design Week its Italian name, took place from 16 to 21 April, with more than 2000 brands and young designers taking part across the city, from the exhibition site at Rho Fiera Milan to the Fuorisalone locations of Brera, Isola and Tortona.

At our Brera home in via Solferino, we presented new collections and some surprising collaborations. Among the most anticipated was “The Small Hours”, the bathroom collection designed by Patricia Urquiola, which attracted incredible interest and was written up in a number of publications including The New York Times and Wallpaper*.
Featuring wall-hung, countertop and free-standing washbasins, shower trays, personalised mirrors and a range of accessories, it showcases how a bathroom can be both a functional and creative space.

The new Graticola texture, some surprising materials and different marbles in colour choices away from our usual palette of neutral shade also added a touch of variety and interest.

Also attracting attention were updated versions of the Hito Collection and Taula and ‘Love Me, Love Me Not’ dining tables, which are testimony to our commitment to listen to what our clients want and push the limits of conventional design.
