Salvatori opens flagship showrooms in London and Sydney
The Italian design company Salvatori, renowned for its innovative transformation of stone, including the development of the world’s first recycled stone Lithoverde®, has announced the opening of two new showrooms: one in London and the second in Sydney.
The first to open will be in the Darlinghurst district of Sydney, a cosmopolitan destination which is home to a creative network of designers, architects and artists. Positioned on the first floor of the City East Telephone Exchange, an inter-war striped classical style building erected in 1926, the juxtaposition of the classic exterior and industrial interior create a theatrical backdrop for the Salvatori range. Due to open in late March, the project is a joint venture with renowned Australian interior designer Edwina Withers.
Scheduled to open in late Spring, the London showroom is situated in a stunning listed building in the heart of the West End, at 26 Wigmore Street, one of the capital’s most popular destinations for premium kitchens, bathrooms and interiors. Spread over two floors, it will showcase the full range of Salvatori products, including textures for Walls & Floors, basins, bathtubs and shower trays for the bathroom environment, together with the ever-expanding Home Collection. The showroom, designed by Piero Lissoni, will be an important hub for UK-based architects and designers.
“We have been present in the UK through our distributors for many years, however with London being at the heart of so many fantastic global projects, we believe it is the time to have a dedicated showroom. This means we will be in a position to offer our partners a fully integrated service right from the beginning of a project through the consultation phase and, where necessary, through to implementation” explains CEO Gabriele Salvatori.
The opening of the Australian and London sites brings the total of dedicated Salvatori showrooms to four, joining Milan and Zurich.
